POLICIES
HOLDING FEE.: A $100 non-refundable holding fee (deposit) is required to book a session. Your deposit is applied towards your session fee. The purpose of the deposit is to protect myself from No-Shows and chronic reschedulers, and to hold a date for you in the schedule. Do not book if you do not accept that your deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE.
BALANCE DUE: Your balance is due TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF A SPECIAL EVENT, or at the start of any acting, creative, kids, young adult, teen or executive photo shoot. We take cash, cashier's checks, MasterCard, Visa and Amex cards. Master Card and Visa are subject to a 2.5% surcharge, Amex is subject to a 3% surcharge. We also accept PayPal transactions. We do not accept Venmo, Apple Pay, Cash App, etc.
RESCHEDULING. Because of the crazy nature of this business, we do our best to be flexible, and we do allow rescheduling ONCE with 72 hours (3 business days) notice. “Business days” are Monday - Friday. This keeps your deposit/holding fee in place. Please note, however, that rescheduling with less than 72 hours (3-business days) notice is considered a cancellation and your holding fee/deposit is sacrificed. There are no exceptions to this policy as we have held the time slot for you and turned away other potential clients to hold your spot. Please do not book if you can’t accept this policy as you will be asked to sign off on it.
IF WE HAVE TO RESCHEDULE. Your time is valuable. So, if for some reason (other than weather) we have to reschedule your shoot, you'll receive a discount of $50 off of your remaining balance. Or, if your prefer, we will refund your entire deposit.
WEATHER RESCHEDULING. On rare super-dark rainy or cold winter days, we might have to reschedule. While we appreciate how long clients wait to shoot with us, we can't control the weather and don't want to compromise the quality of your images. If we have to cancel for weather related issues, we'll reschedule you as quickly as possible.
LATE ARRIVALS. If you're late for your shoot, this will result in less shoot time and fewer images/looks, as we may have a client coming after you. If you're over 15 minutes late, this is considered a cancellation and will result in the forfeiture of your holding fee. There are NO exceptions to this rule. But who would be 15 minutes late to their photo shoot?
NO-SHOWS: If you fail to show up, or if you cancel, you will forfeit your holding fee/deposit.
RECEIVING YOUR IMAGES: You'll receive your images within 5 business days of your shoot via an external storage medium.
RETOUCHING. While we will not retouch every photo, limited retouching is a part of your shoot fee.
FOR PARENTS OF YOUTH CLIENTS: For any clients under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian is required to be present and in visual/auditory range of their child at all times. There are NO exceptions to this rule.
ARTISTIC COMPOSITION: Michelle takes interesting, creative and dynamically composed photos. She has a definite style of shooting that is clearly reflected in her portfolio and promotional material. Sometimes she crops closely or shoots off center to create a compelling and dynamic composition and sense of movement. If you don't like this style of shooting, please think twice before booking since she does not change his signature style.
LOOKS. A "look" is defined as a single change of wardrobe, or a single change of hair/makeup, or any combo of the two. Michelle will, on occasion, shoot more than one outfit for a look. If she offers this, it’s free.
RE-SHOOTS & REFUNDS. Photographs are artistic creations. Interpretation of artistic creations is extremely subjective. Because of this, there are NO re-shoots or refunds for any reasons other than technical issues/malfunctions. There are NO exceptions to this rule. But Michelle gets it right the first time.
